La Belle Maison Interior Design recently completed the Poco Optics flagship retail store in Mirdif City Center, Dubai, UAE. Poco Optics vision is to provide children with better vision, and La Belle Maison helped them do this by designing a store that the little shoppers love being in.
Conceptualizing the design for this flagship store was a fun and playful task for the La Belle Maison Interiors team, it was all hands-on deck to bring this playful contemporary store come to life. The teams’ ultimate goal was to create a space where children were in awe of the colors and patterns, a happy space, while adults were transported back to their joyful childhood. A memorable trip to the optical store for everyone.
We had a quick chat to our client Hala Saad, General Manager at Poco Optics to get some insight into his teams’ desires and ultimate goal with the design of their flagship store.
La Belle Maison did the interior design for your flagship POCO OPTICS retail store in Dubai, UAE. Can you please tell us in a few words the initial vision you had for your store?
Ehab: Since this is our flagship store and only kid’s optical store in UAE, we were looking for a vibrant colorful store. A place where children would have an exceptional experience. The La Belle Maison team carried out our vision from the conceptualizing the design stage all the way through to execution. It's just what we were looking for.
You clearly loved the designer's vision for the POCO OPTICS store as it has been executed and is open to the public! What specifically did you like about the designer's vision for your store?
Ehab: The team at La Belle Maison understood our need to have a playful store that anyone walking by, or entering, would be taken in by the colors, display and ambience of the overall store. It grabs the attention of those in the mall and that's just what we were looking for. We love how the designers brought together the best of both worlds, color and sophistication. A modern day delight.
Do you think the Poco Optics store stands out in compasrison to other optical stores?
Ehab: Absolutely. There are no other optical stores in Dubai quite like this. The store design embodies our vision as a brand and we're proud to stand out in a sea of competitors.
Designing retail stores aimed at children that are functional yet playful really calls for creativity and tapping into your inner child. A task always welcomed at La Belle Maison interiors and rumors have it that works on a second outlet are already starting. Stay tuned for more.
